This morning our teams split into two groups and headed out to the school and the woman's shelter. The school down here is run by the organization and is completely bilingual. In addition to some students in the community, all kids from the orphanage in grades K-5 attend classes daily. Our students at the school cleared gravel for new grass and used the gravel to create a road in the front. Most importantly, they also had the opportunity to hang out with some pretty cool kids. It's amazing to see how much your kids dive right into these relationships. At the woman's shelter work was done to begin building a garden that will provide food and income for the women who live there. This afternoon we will spend at the orphanage with the kids and more time working at the school and the shelter.
